For Illinois residents we will apply appropriate taxes as required by law. The amount of your tax will be determined during the ordering process. Those who live outside Illinois will not be charged Illinois tax, but may want to consult applicable tax laws in their state.
Items that have already been shipped cannot under any circumstances be cancelled.
Ooh-La-La is committed to processing and shipping your order as soon as possible. We will make every reasonable effort to cancel your order if that is what you desire. If your order has already been shipped we cannot be held responsible for being unable to cancel a shipped order. If for any reason you decide to cancel your Off-the-Peg order you have 3 business days from order date to do so or until your order has been shipped, whichever comes first. If you would like to cancel your order please phone us immediately at 847.433.5646. If your Off-the-Peg order has already shipped and you wish to cancel, please follow our return policy procedures listed below.
If the shipping box arrives damaged, please refuse it and notify us by phone at 847.433.5646 as we insure all shipments. If you accept a damaged package you are responsible for filing a claim with the carrier. If you open the undamaged shipping box and your item arrives damaged please phone us immediately at 847.433.5646.
You have 5 business days once you receive your Off-the-Peg order to exchange it. Shipping is non-refundable. All exchanges are subject to a 15% restocking fee. After 5 business days from receipt of your Off-the-Peg item, your order is considered a Final Sale and NOT EXCHANGABLE.
If you need to exchange your Off-the-Peg item please phone us at 847.433.5646. We cannot accept exchange requests by email. All exchange requests must be by phone so you can receive further instructions and an exchange authorization number (EA#). Exchanged items must be postmarked within 5 days of receiving an EA number and insured for the full value. Exchange requests received by any other method will not be honored.
All shipping expenses associated with an exchange are the responsibility of the buyer.
Exchanged items must be in a saleable condition, returned in original packaging with original sales receipt or no exchange will be made. Ooh-La-La reserves the right not to exchange an item if the original item has been used, soiled or damaged in any way. Please wipe off any foundation or makeup from your face before trying on the hats.
Once a hat has been altered it is considered a Final Sale and is NOT EXCHANGEABLE.
If a customer exchanges an item after the 5 business day window without an EA number and/or Ooh-La-La suspects an item has been used, the merchandise will be shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense.

Due to the nature of our custom business, custom millinery is returnable for size alteration only. All shipping costs associated with a return for size alteration are the responsibility of the buyer.
Custom designs, shapes, sizes, and colors are considered a Final Sale at the point of sale and are NON-REFUNDABLE.
We will not accept returns for reasons such as: "I didn't like the style, I didn't think it would look like that, the brim is too wide or too narrow, the color is not what I want, the crown is too high, too low.," etc..... Unfortunately, we are not a traditional retail establishment that can afford a liberal return policy and do not create our hats contingent upon reasons such as these.

All sales are presumed to have been made in Illinois where Ooh-La-La is located.
By purchasing from Ooh-La-La you agree that any dispute arising, as a result of the transaction will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without reference to the conflicts of the provisions. You agree that if any legal action is taken that you agree to venue and jurisdiction in the county of Lake County, Illinois. You agree that if we are required to file an action to recover funds for unpaid merchandise that you will pay all of our costs including but not limited to attorneys' fees.
You agree that any claim of damages by you is strictly limited to the amount of the purchase price of merchandise that you paid to us. You further agree that under no circumstances will Ooh-La-La be liable for any damages to you. You agree that any claim or action by you must be brought to Lake County, Illinois, within 120 days of your receipt of the merchandise upon which the claim is made.
Items sold by Ooh-La-La are for personal use and not for commercial resale.
